About Us
Mortgage Israel was founded in 2003 to assist people in obtaining financing for Israeli real estate, both in the residential and commercial sectors. Since our founding, we have been the leaders in our field. We were the first Mortgage company of its kind in Israel, catering exclusively to the international English speaking market and essentially introduced mortgage brokerage to the Israeli banking system. Our clients include international investors, lawyers and other business professionals, along with new immigrants and the local market. We also work closely with local lawyers, various real estate companies and builders. Our team of consultants consists of three senior consultants, a team of junior consultants, processing and back office staff. Our head office is based in the center of Jerusalem, with a second office in Ramat Beit Shemesh.
The Team
Avner Buntman - CEO & Senior Consultant
Avner Buntman grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa and emigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1988. He completed a Degree in Economics and Business Management at the University of Western Ontario, Cum-Laude and also attended the MBA program at the University of Toronto, with a focus in accounting. He moved to Israel in 1997. His work experience includes 5 years in foreign exchange both as an active trader and consultant for small to medium size companies, helping them to structure, plan and execute their retail forex transactions. In 2003, he founded Mortgage Israel and is involved in the daily running of the company. His broad knowledge of the foreign exchange markets and economics background, enables him to advise clients on multi-currency loans and effective currency hedging strategies. He primarily consults with international clients. Avner lives with his wife and three children in Jerusalem.
Aaron Morgan - Senior Mortgage Consultant / Head Analyst - Ramat Beit Shemesh Office
Aaron Morgan grew up in Ottawa, Canada. He graduated with an honors degree in Actuarial and Statistical Sciences from the University of Western Ontario. Aaron launched his career at Manulife Financial where he developed pricing models for life insurance and provided detailed market analysis for Manulife's Competitive Intelligence Division. Aaron went on to work in foreign exchange for FXUC Solutions Ltd, a local Israeli company, where he developed and marketed a successfull portfolio of managed foreign exchange funds. Since joining the Mortgage Israel team, Aaron has combined his strong financial background and customer service oriented style to lead the company growth in the Ramat Beit Shemesh area. Aaron also acts as the head analyst for mortgage research department.
Davi Katz - Senior Mortgage Consultant
Davi Katz grew up in New York and attended City University of New York, Queens, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, graduating with honors. He worked for four years as an Account Executive for Enterprise Fleet Services providing fleet consulting and management services to C-level executives in mid size companies throughout New York City. Davi brings a strong analytical background and a good understanding of macro economics to the Mortgage Israel team. His experience with a large US based service company, has made him a leader in customer care and service excellence. Davi made Aliya with Nefesh B'nefesh in 2002 and lives in Ramat Beit Shemesh with his wife and three children.
